Open space and recreation areas are a key component to quality of life for citizens and visitors to the city. This chapter sets out the vision, policies and objectives that will support the delivery of a high quality, high performing, inclusive and multi-functional open space network in the city. It facilitates the continued protection and improvement of the Dublin Bay Biosphere, rivers and canals as well as supporting the Dublin Tree Strategy.
